Lanier Mason is a Certified Public Accountant , licensed in the State of New York. Most recently, he worked as an Audit Manager at Ernst & Young, primarily serving Wealth and Asset Management clients. As a Manager at EY, he directed the execution of audit fieldwork for multi-strategy hedge funds. In addition to his core audit responsibilities, he develops custom technology as a part of EY’s national efforts to stay on the cutting-edge of data analytics trends. In 2020, he launched a scholarship at Molloy University for Black nursing students in honor of his late grandmother, Leona C. Mason. Within about a year, the scholarship reached the endowment threshold set by the University. As a result of his efforts, he was recognized by Molloy as a recipient of the Alumni Service Award and the inaugural 30 Under 30 Young Alumni Award. In 2021, the 100th anniversary of the first Black C.P.A., he was recognized as one of the nation’s top 40 Black C.P.A.s in the United States and the only professional at EY to be featured. Lanier earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Molloy University in 2015 (Magna Cum Laude) and is currently pursuing his MBA at Columbia Business School as a fellow of The Consortium for Graduate Study in Management.
